THE BELIEFS OF THE 42ND GENERATION
The 42nd generation is an African Youth Organization based in Accra, Ghana with the theme of Rebilding the leadership of Africa. It numbers around 200 interms of membership. I wish to share with you some defining beliefs of the organization.
- We believe there is hope for Africa -
We believe there is an African perspective to every aspect of social relations and every other thing under the sun. -
We believe that the quality of information we imbibe today is the basis for leadership tomorrow.
- We believe that if we begin now to sow the right seeds, the leadership of Africa will be what it ought to be 15-20 years from now.
- We believe that it is possible to have a secure financial future in Africa as Africans.
- We believe that Democracy and good governance is possible in Africa, if they are approached from an African view-point.
- We believe that forums whereby the young African will develop pride and self esteem in terms of the African identity are the best way to start the rebirth of Africa.
- We believe that Africa has got a key role to play in global progress.
- We believe that Africans possess the potentials that the world is looking for to make her a better place.
- We believe the African youth is teachable, and has the ability to assimilate intellectual information.
- We believe that AIDS, POVERTY and WARS are not the only events going on in Africa (neither are they peculiar to Africa); we also believe that these items can be corrected and the future of Africa can become brighter.
ABOVE ALL WE BELIEVE THAT A BRAND NEW AFRICA IS POSSIBLE IF WE CAN HAVE BRAND NEW AFRICANS.
WE BELIEVE THAT WE CAN HAVE BRAND NEW AFRICANS IF WE HAVE BRAND NEW MINDSETS AND ATTITUDES.
WE CAN HAVE BRAND NEW MINDSETS AND ATTITUDES IF WE GROW LEARNING THE RIGHT VALUES. WE BELIEVE THAT THE AFRICAN YOUTH CAN TAKE AFRICA TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
